If your session appears to continue after you’ve tried to stop it, follow the steps below.
1. Check if dual charging is active
Some High Power chargers, and all Medium Power chargers, are designed to charge two vehicles at the same time. In other words, all of these units have two connectors, but only some allow two vehicles to plug in and charge at the same time.
If both connectors are in use, toggle between the on-screen views to make sure you select the correct connector (1 or 2) before stopping your session. This helps prevent accidentally ending the charging session for the vehicle next to you.
2. End the session using the same method you started with
- Tap your contactless card or device on the payment terminal, or
- Select Stop in the GRIDSERVE app
- The connector will unlock automatically when the session has fully stopped.
- Do not pull the connector while still charging
3. Still not stopping?
If the session does not end or the connector does not unlock, contact Customer Support on 0800 240 42 42 with:
- Charger ID
- Connector type
- Vehicle make and model
We can remotely stop the session and assist further.
